Building out a flatbed that can handle the stress and flex of taking a heavy old camper on all the bumpy dirt roads of the western deserts.

Spring Rain

We had a wet lousy weekend rolling in, thought we should test out the cabin on wheels up in the eastern foothills. The soothing sounds of rain on an aluminum roof approved. No concerning leaks found. Peaceful weekend with the spring lupins, wet dog and a banjo

To Idaho

It all begins..

Woke up early Friday morning and drove the 9 hour day from Reno to Idaho Falls. The roads were snowy and slick but the sun was out all day. I arrived just before sunset, driving across a snow covered wind drift filled back road to the owners property. We rolled open the garage door to unveil an early 70’s Alaskan Camper. The owners had a dinner prepped for me so we sat and talked over some drinks before diving into the camper. Welcoming me into the Alaskan Family right and proper. After food we loaded it up and got it prepped for an early morning departure back to Reno after a weekend pit stop in Boise.
